Line Segment Measuring
A line segment is part of a line between two specific points. It can be straight or curved. We had to draw line segments that were 76cm long. They had to be curved or they would not fit on the paper! We had string to help us. When we cut the string at 76cm we could curl it up on the paper and draw along it.
The problem was making the string 76cm. Mrs Duligall gave us pieces of broken rulers. Some were only from the 0 to the 6cm long. Others went from 8cm up to 30cm. How could we measure 76cm using only the parts of rulers?
It was a challenge!

Dance Mat Typing
When we are writing on our Chromebooks it is much faster if we know where all the letters and keys are. To help us learn this we have been using Dance Mat Typing. It can be quite noisy with us all using Dance Mat Typing at one as it tells us to "Type on me!" if we press the wrong key. So we have all been using headphones to just listen to our own. Here are some photos of us learning to type.
All About Us
This week we have been learning all about each other. Our challenge for our homework was to talk to our families and decide on 5 words that really describe us. We then had to make a word cloud to display these words. Take a look at these fabulous word clouds.
