Term
1 Week 9
Monday 26th March
Dear Parents,
Goodness this term is
just flying past! Week 9 already!
Homework – Homework
projects were brilliant, beautiful and beneficial! We learnt about blue whales,
brontosauruses, boomerangs, baboons, bees, books, butterflies, the blue macaw,
brown bears, base guitars and The Beattie Family at the beach! Once again homework
was presented on the homework wiki (using words, pictures, word documents and
vokis) as posters and booklets.
I have made a short
slideshow of our ‘A’ homework which is now on the blog and I am working on the
‘B’ slideshow. I hope you enjoy looking at it.
This week the letter is
‘C’. Again children can take any subject starting with the letter ‘C’ and find
out some facts about it. It could be a place, country, animal, instrument or a
person even! We love to learn new facts on any subject. Children can then
present their new learning in any format they choose.
Grant Hastings – Grant will be back in school
again on Friday this week. So far we have learnt elephant rolls and throws,
stop sign throws and crocodile hands to catch our balls. We have enjoyed
working with a buddy each time.
Library – Our library day is Monday
Mathletics – Passwords are in homework
books and four pieces of homework are set each week. Homework has to be
completed before children can work on other areas of Mathletics.
Chocolate Fundraising
– All money
for the chocolate sales needs to be at the office by Friday 30th
March at the latest please. If you still have chocolates at home feel free to
send them back to school.
Lucky Book Club
– Orders
need to be in to the class by Friday 30th March. Cheques to be made
payable to Havelock North Primary.
Kind Regards,
Karen Duligall
