Calendar Art

Commonwealth Games Day

As part of our Flags Inquiry we held Middle Team Commonwealth Games Day. Before we could run the Sack Race, the Bean Bag Throw and the Wheelbarrow Race we had to work out what equipment we would need and what the rules of the game were. We had a brilliant day!

3D Shape

In maths we have been learning about 3D shapes.
We learnt how to draw 3D shapes such as cubes, rectangular prisms, triangular prisms and even pentagonal prisms.
Then we had a go at creating shapes from their nets. We made cylinders, cones and square based pyramids.
Finally we used sticks and plasticine to create skeleton shapes. Have a look at them in our slide show. They may be skeletons but they are not scary at all!

Working Together Learning Together

In Room 15 we spend a lot of time working together. Sometimes we are working as a team on a practical activity such as weighing in maths. Sometimes we have a collaborative document on our chromebooks and we all add our ideas to it. We used these documents a lot during our Inquiry Learning on Flags. We investigated flags and found out about the New Zealand Flag. We wondered if New Zealand should change its flag. We even designed our own flag.

Take a look at our slideshow to see us all working together.
