Welcome back to Term 3. Its great to see the
children so exciting and keen to be back, we have certainly hit the ground
running!
This week we will be looking back at our
holidays, and investigating temperature in maths. If you have any holiday
photos (of exciting places you may have been, or even just snaps taken around
the house) please could you send some in. The children are going to create their
holiday memories digitally. Photos can be emailed or brought in on paper or a
memory stick – whatever is easiest. If you don’t have a holiday photo don’t
worry – some of our digital tools don’t need photos.
We will also be looking at the Olympics in
more detail especially the New Zealand team and the sports in which they will
be completing. We are very fortunate to have been given Black Sticks booklets
(Thank you Damon) so we can follow their progress throughout the games.
Thank you for sorting out the stationery
requirements so promptly. Its much easier in class when everyone has the pens
and pencils they need at hand.
Omni gym starts next week. A separate
newsletter will come out soon with more details.
Lucky Book Club will be coming home again this
week. If you would like to place an order please send the money to the classroom
by Friday 3rd August. Cheques to be made payable to Havelock North
Primary.
Discovery Learning starts again this Friday so
there is no project homework this week. Homework books will be back in action
by the end of the week.
